KABUL: An Afghan official says that a female UN worker was shot and killed by unknown gunmen in the city of Kandahar.
Samim Akhpolwak, representative for the common senator in Kandahar territory, said on Monday that Toorpakai Olfat, an Afghan national, was headed to the workplace from home when two shooters on a cruiser shot and killed her.
The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) affirmed Olfat's demise in an announcement and said, "The occurrence's circumstances are under scrutiny."
